Yin & Pins: Spring Equinox
Description
Celebrate the arrival of spring with an afternoon of deep restoration, renewal and balance.
As nature begins to awaken, the Spring Equinox marks a time of fresh beginnings, growth and possibility. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), spring is associated with the Liver meridian; the organ system responsible for the smooth flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body. When our energy flows freely, we feel lighter, more motivated, emotionally balanced and ready to embrace change.
Join us for a nourishing 90-minute Yin & Pins experience designed to support your body and mind through the seasonal transition.
Your journey begins with a grounding guided meditation, allowing you to slow down, reconnect with your breath and arrive fully in the present moment. From there, Asha will guide you through a thoughtfully curated Yin Yoga practice, with postures chosen to stimulate and nourish the Liver meridian. These long-held, supported poses encourage deep release through the connective tissues, improve flexibility, support the free flow of Qi and invite the body into a state of profound calm and restoration.
As you settle into stillness, Dr. Amanda Waaldyk will provide a restorative group acupuncture treatment using a carefully selected combination of acupuncture points designed to complement the Yin practice and support the Liver meridian. The treatment is curated to align with the energy of spring, encouraging the smooth flow of Qi, reducing stress, calming the nervous system and helping you feel balanced, refreshed and ready to embrace the new season.
Spring invites us to release what no longer serves us and make space for growth, clarity and new beginnings. Whether you're feeling physically tight, emotionally overwhelmed, mentally fatigued or simply craving time to reconnect with yourself, this seasonal ritual offers the perfect opportunity to pause, reset and restore.
Your 90-minute experience includes:
- A calming guided meditation
- A seasonal Yin Yoga practice led by Asha, curated to stimulate the Liver meridian
- A restorative group acupuncture treatment by Dr. Amanda Waaldyk, using acupuncture points selected to support the Liver meridian and the energy of spring
- Deep relaxation in a beautiful, welcoming studio space
No previous yoga or acupuncture experience is necessary. Simply wear comfortable clothing and come exactly as you are.
Whether you're looking to regulate your nervous system, improve the flow of energy throughout the body, welcome the new season with intention, or simply gift yourself an afternoon of self-care, Yin & Pins offers the perfect opportunity to slow down, restore and reconnect.
We look forward to welcoming you to Within Studios in South Yarra on Saturday 19th September from 12:30pm–2:00pm to celebrate the arrival of spring together.
